Det sker efter ønske fra Hedensted Menighedsråd, og arbejdet begynder i næste uge. Ind mod kirkegården bliver der således 40 parkeringspladser i to blokke samt to "adskillelses-bede" foruden tre handicappladser, ligesom der etableres en stensætning og et grønt areal ud mod Kirkegade. Dertil kommer en sti fra indgangen til kirken og ned mod fortovet på Kirkegade. Størstedelen af det grønne areal bag den nuværende par- keringsplads inddrages i forbindelse med etableringen af den nye parkeringsplads. Den får i øvrigt samme belægning som parkeringspladsen på Haralds Plads, oplyser Hans Ole Schou fra Hedensted Kommunes tekniske afdeling. Offentlig p-plads Arbejdet udføres af entreprenørfirmaet Ejvind Laursen A/S for Hedensted Kommune og Hedensted-St. Dalby Menighedsråd. - Projektet andrager godt en million kroner, og der bliver tale om en offentlig parkeringsplads. Endnu er det ikke besluttet, om der skal være tidsbegrænsning på pladserne, siger Hans Ole Schou. Renoveringen er sat til at vare syv uger. Parkeringspladsen og indgangen til Hedensted Kirke herfra vil være spærret i denne periode, og menighedsrådet henviser derfor bilister til parkerings- pladser ved Bytorvet, Haralds Plads og ved kirkegården på Skjøttsvej.
